FAQs

Treen refers to small, functional wooden domestic objects made from the 16th century onwards, reaching a peak in popularity during the Georgian and Victorian eras.

Traditional pieces were crafted from dense native and exotic hardwoods such as boxwood, fruitwood, maple, and sometimes inlaid with various contrasting timbers.

Authenticity is determined by hand-turned tool marks, patination appropriate to age, original metal rasps, and accurate construction methods characteristic of historical periods.

These small objects integrate well into minimalist interiors when displayed in groups on open shelving, sideboards, or within glass-fronted cabinets as focal points of historical interest.

Preserve wooden objects by keeping them away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity, occasionally applying a neutral microcrystalline wax to nourish the surface without building up residue.
