Italian majolica is tin-glazed earthenware decorated with colourful pigments on an opaque white glaze, originating during the Renaissance and renowned for its vibrant pictorial scenes.

These jars were hand-thrown from local clay, coated with a tin oxide glaze known as bianco, and hand-painted with metal oxide pigments before undergoing a high-temperature kiln firing.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit irregular potting characteristics, minor glaze fritting along the rims, hand-ground foot rings, and pigment oxidation consistent with early ceramic manufacturing techniques.

Position the vessel as a focal point on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or sideboard, allowing its historical craftsmanship and polychrome palette to contrast cleanly with minimalist architectural backgrounds.

Display the item in a stable environment away from direct sunlight and fluctuating humidity, cleaning only with a dry, soft microfibre cloth while strictly avoiding chemical detergents.
