Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Barr, Flight and Barr operated as a prominent Worcester porcelain manufacturer during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, holding royal warrants and producing exceptionally fine tableware and decorative items for the British aristocracy.

These pieces were crafted from soft-paste or bone china porcelain bodies, meticulously hand-thrown or moulded, then decorated with hand-painted enamel botanical motifs and finished with heavy burnished gilding.

Authenticity is typically verified through underglaze or painted factory marks, such as incised BFB initials, pattern numbers, stylistic consistency in the hand-painted enamels, and the characteristic quality of the paste and gilding.

It can be displayed as a focal point on a sideboard or mantelpiece, allowing the hand-painted floral details and gilded accents to contrast against neutral or dark wood surfaces.

Antique porcelain should be cleaned strictly by hand using lukewarm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent, avoiding immersion in water for extended periods and steering clear of harsh scrubbing or chemical cleaners to protect delicate gilding.
