Treen refers to small, functional wooden domestic and decorative objects made by hand, often utilizing wood-turning techniques popular from the 17th through to the 19th centuries.

These items were predominantly crafted from dense hardwoods such as boxwood, fruitwood, mahogany, and rosewood, frequently incorporating textiles like velvet or wool for the pin cushions.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-turned tool marks, natural patination from handling, shrinkage cracks, and traditional construction methods appropriate to their estimated era.

It can be displayed as a sculptural object on open shelving, a desk, or a side table, adding texture and historic character to contemporary spaces.

Keep wooden treen out of direct sunlight and away from extreme humidity fluctuations, treating the surface occasionally with microcrystalline wax to maintain the finish.
