FAQs

Treen refers to small, functional or decorative wooden household objects made before the widespread use of plastics and modern manufacturing.

Makers typically used dense hardwoods such as boxwood, beech, or sycamore, which resisted splitting and moisture absorption.

Authentic items display tool marks from woodturning lathes, natural patination from age and handling, and wear consistent with historical use.

Display collections on open kitchen shelving, wooden sideboards, or inside glass cabinets to highlight the natural textures and historical craftsmanship.

Clean gently with a dry or barely damp cloth, avoiding soaking in water, and occasionally apply food-safe mineral oil or beeswax to nourish the wood.
