This Edwardian Royal Worcester jardiniere dates from 1910 and follows the Hadley shape, designed as a bulbous porcelain vessel raised on a moulded gilt foot. The exterior displays hand-painted pink and red roses set against soft green foliage and yellow shaded grounds, framed by a pierced reticulated rim and finished with extensive gold gilding throughout the upper collar and decorative base. Visible details include delicate petal brushwork, openwork piercing around the top edge, and ornate scrolling on the pedestal base. It measures approximately 15 cm in height and 18 cm in diameter, making it a compact decorative container. Placed on a sideboard top, the piece serves as an elegant display accent within an English Country House interior scheme, ideal for holding small floral arrangements or standing alone as a refined decorative object.

A Royal Worcester jardiniere is an ornate ceramic vessel produced by the Worcester Royal Porcelain Company, designed primarily to hold plants, floral displays, or serve as a decorative table centrepiece.

These vessels were typically crafted from fine bone china or soft-paste porcelain, featuring hand-applied enamel glazes, detailed brushwork decoration, and liquid gold gilding.

Authentic pieces feature printed or impressed factory marks on the underside, often incorporating a crown, a circular stamp with dots indicating the date, and artist signatures near the painted motifs.

A porcelain jardiniere can be placed on a sideboard, mantelpiece, or console table as a standalone decorative focal point, or used to display fresh botanical stems and greenery.

Clean gently using a dry, soft microfibre cloth or a soft artist brush to remove dust; avoid harsh detergents, abrasive pads, or prolonged immersion in water, as these can wear away gilded details.
