Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Famille Rose, known in China as Fencai, developed during the eighteenth century within the Qing Dynasty. It utilises opaque white enamel mixed with colours to create a softer, pastel palette, often depicting figurative, botanical, or historical narratives.

These items are crafted from high-fired hard-paste porcelain, composed of kaolin clay and petuntse. The decorative motifs are applied over the glaze using lead-based metallic enamel oxides before undergoing a second, lower-temperature firing.

Daoguang period (18211850) wares are identified by specific reign marks, typically in red iron oxide or underglaze blue, along with characteristic enamelling techniques, minor irregularities in the glaze texture, and light wear on the unglazed foot rim.

A decorative porcelain bowl can be positioned on a dark timber sideboard, inside a glazed cabinet, or atop a stack of art books on a coffee table. Placing it on a bespoke carved hardwood or acrylic stand elevates its visibility.

Clean gently using lukewarm water and a mild detergent applied with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, chemical solvents, or extreme temperature shifts to prevent damage to the overglaze enamels and original porcelain structure.
