The nests of tables are supported by turned legs, with bamboo shaped ring turnings, which are united by bar shaped stretchers to the rear (for additional strength), standing on splayed legs. The nest of tables displays superb craftsmanship and each of them slides comfortably into each other. The metal label under the smallest table reads “Warings (Waring & Gillow) Furnishers and decorators of H.M. the King, Deansgate, Manchester”.
The nest of tables a rich brown mahogany colour and they are in excellent robust condition. This is an extremely useful piece of furniture and a great asset to have in any living or dining room or hallway, as they consume very little space.

Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English nest of tables by Waring & Gillow, constructed of solid mahogany, in the Regency style, decorated with boxwood inlay, comprising three tables, circa 1920, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and tops, but nothing significant considering their age (see photos). The nest of tables has a fantastic colour and patination; having been cleaned and professionally French polished by hand in our workshop. The legs, stretchers and feet are sturdy. Each of the tables fit comfortably into each other. This nest of tables is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
