Four seventeenth-century Safavid Persian Kubachi pottery tiles are presented together as a horizontal wall plaque set within a white wooden frame. The earthenware pieces display a white ground decorated with cobalt blue, green, red, mustard yellow and manganese glazes, showing lobed cartouches filled with varied floral motifs surrounded by scrolling vines. Each square tile has a craquelure glaze and spandrel borders framing the central medallions. The framed assembly measures 18 cm high and 18 cm wide. Positioned above a sideboard, the wall plaque brings traditional Persian earthenware into a contemporary interior. The arrangement makes an ideal decorative accent for a dining room or living space, hung securely against a flat wall surface to display the detailed floral sprays and vibrant coloured glazes.

Kubachi tiles are a style of Safavid Persian earthenware produced primarily during the 16th and 17th centuries, named after the town in Dagestan where large quantities were preserved.

Dust gently using a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid water saturation, chemical cleansers, or abrasive tools that could damage the delicate glazed surface and underlying earthenware.

Mounted tile panels can be displayed as focal wall art above a sideboard, placed within a gallery wall, or integrated into a mantelpiece arrangement to add historical texture.

Authentic pieces feature a distinct crackled glaze, a palette including distinctive blues, greens, and brownish-reds, and hand-painted floral or figural designs characteristic of Persian decorative arts.

These tiles were crafted from a fritware or composite clay body coated in a white glaze, decorated with underglaze mineral pigments such as cobalt blue, copper green, and manganese brown.
