A Stunning Regency Kingwood Work Sewing Table.
A truly stunning table.
We bring to you this outstanding very rare Kingwood sewing table believed to be made around C1810 - 1820. This stunning table is in a lovely original condition which we have just enhanced by sympathetically restoring and waxing this table in our workshop, whilst preserving the lovely lightly faded original colour with lots of patina and charm.
This table is of the finest quality, featuring the very rare Kingwood in solid form with a simple moulded frieze, incorporating a locked drawer (with key) and an underslung green satin pleated material compartment for cotton or wool. The top stands on 2 shaped Lyre ends braced by a simple turned stretcher rail culminating to 4 sabre legs incorporating the finest quality paw shaped polished brass castors.
This table has been sympathetically restored in our workshop, cleaned and carefully waxed.
There is no movement or play in any of the joints. The top is flat with no bowing or twisting and the table is ready for its new home.
Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd minor blemish and historic repair here and there. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
