Vicky Thomas Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

The intricate carving centres around a vase with a plume of flowers and foliage representing the life force that flows through every object, or 'Qi', also present are objects that are associated with the 'Hundred Antiques', a very popular design of the 1700's, and referring to a hundred items with special and significant spiritual meaning, celebrating life, piety, respect for ancestors and scholarly pursuits.

The panel has been set into a more recent pine frame with a brass hook for displaying purposes. It looks fantastic, but does have the age related wear that you would expect from an item of this considerable age.
The framed panel measures 70cm high, 33cm across and 2.5cm deep.
