Antique Victorian Set of 3 Illustrated London News books.

A very interesting collection.

We are happy to offer these excellent condition antique Victorian books.

3 full large volumes of The illustrated London News with leather spine and corner hardcovers.

1877 July to December Printed and published by George C Leighton - Strand London

1898 July to December Printed and published by Ingram Brothers - Strand London

1899 July 8 to December 30 published by Illustrated London News and Sketch Limited - Strand London

2734 pages and illustrations depicting London, it's life, people & buildings near the turn of the century.

A fascinating study and collection of news of London over 120-140 years ago.

The books have been rebound at some point by the company Birdsall & Son Northampton and bears their small badge on the back of the hard cover.

Good/very good condition, but to note, there is bit of damage to a couple of pages in the 1899 opening pages and the covers have some wear as expected.

Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there, as expected with an item of this age. However, we feel that these points are which adds to the charm of the item with it being an antique.

The sale is for the 3 illustrated London news books only, other items pictured are for display purposes only.

We would be willing to sell these books separately if required, please enquire for this.

Also note, These books are large and heavy, (5-8kg each) so delivery is likely to be in 3 separate parcels.
