This stylishly restrained hexagonal shaped Chinese brush pot is made from a dense red hardwood and the eight flat sides are delicately hand carved with a continuous mountain landscape included in which there is a bridge, trees, tall rock faces, a lake, and a temple amongst other details. The brush pot is simply finished around its base with a stepped flat moulding.
