Description

A fabulous piece of agricultural history. This wheel is very unusual in that it is made from a combination of materials. The hub is cast iron, the spokes Ash wood and the rim wrought iron. The hub is marked with the maker 'Brown and Son Ltd of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. It is almost certainly from a piece of agricultural machinery made in the mid 19th Century, a great decorative item.
