Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This vintage military campaign style nautical nest of three coffee tables originates from the 1930 period, designed with a gentleman's library aesthetic. The tables consist of dark brown mahogany frames fitted with glass top panels, brass corner mounts, and straight legs. The top surface displays inlaid world map illustrations under the glass, complemented by brass corner hardware and decorative gilt motifs on the dark glass panels. The two smaller pull-out tables feature circular world map inserts beneath their glass tops, while the larger main table incorporates a rectangular map insert. The nesting arrangement measures 104 cm in width, 48 cm in depth, and 40 cm in height. These practical tables fit seamlessly into a living room, study, or library setting as functional coffee tables or side surfaces.

FAQs

Campaign style furniture originated in the 18th and 19th centuries, designed to be dismantled or folded for transport by military officers on travel or expedition.

These pieces typically feature solid hardwoods such as mahogany or teak, protective brass corner brackets, flush mounts, and clear glass top panels.

Characteristic traits include brass corner protectors, flat or flush-fitting hardware designed to prevent damage during movement, and straight, durable wood frames.

Position the main table as a central living room surface and deploy the smaller nested tables beside armchairs or sofas when additional surfaces are needed.

Clean glass surfaces with a soft microfibre cloth and specialised glass cleaner, dust timber components with a dry cloth, and avoid harsh abrasive polishes on brass hardware.
