Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This George III oak side table belongs to the Georgian period and comes in a dark brown timber finish. The piece has a rectangular top with an extra drop leaf to the back and stands on straight square legs. A single frieze drawer sits below the top surface, fitted with two brass drop handles and a central brass keyhole escutcheon. The timber grain shows rich natural figuring across the top surface, and the hardware displays a warm golden brass tone. Measuring 71 cm high, 81.5 cm wide, and 51 cm deep, the table fits easily in practical everyday spaces. It works well beside the front door as a convenient place to drop keys and post, or functions as a compact side table in a living room, hallway, or study. The clean lines suit traditional and country house interiors equally.

George III furniture, produced between 1760 and 1820, is recognised for balanced proportions, functional restraint, and high-quality cabinetmaking using woods such as English oak and mahogany.

Side tables from this era commonly feature solid oak or mahogany timber, hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, wood-pegged construction, and cast brass drop handles or knobs.

Authenticity is indicated by uneven hand-sawn timber marks on drawer undersides and rear panels, hand-forged iron nails, natural wear around handles and feet, and deep age-related patination.

This versatile piece functions effectively as an entryway console table, a compact home office writing desk, or an accent table beside a sofa paired with contemporary lighting and artwork.

Maintain oak surfaces by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying clear beeswax sparingly once or twice annually while placing the item away from direct heat sources and moist environments.
