This garden statue and sculpture is a 1930 Neoclassical piece in the English Country House style. Modelled as a light grey stone bust of Apollo Belvedere, it rests atop a matching fluted column pedestal complete with classical drapery, curved hair detail, and a moulded plinth base. Reconstituted stone forms the structure, displaying a weathered finish showing grey and white surface tones, organic moss growth, and distressed texture from outdoor exposure. The bust sits on a circular turning supported by a column featuring vertical fluting and a square base. It measures 122 cm high and 36 cm in diameter. Position this sculpture in an empty corner of a garden, patio, or conservatory to bring classical architectural character to an outdoor setting.

The Apollo Belvedere design is derived from a celebrated Neoclassical marble sculpture representing the Greek god Apollo, which became a standard subject for cast stone reproductions during the Grand Tour era.

Garden busts and pedestals are traditionally cast using reconstituted stone, concrete, or carved natural stone, allowing the material to develop organic patination when exposed to outdoor elements.

Authentic aged cast stone features natural lichens, moss growth, and uniform surface weathering across exposed areas, rather than painted or artificially applied aging effects.

A classical bust on a plinth creates a focal point when placed at the termination of a garden pathway, inside a conservatory, or positioned within a grand entrance hall.

To preserve natural surface patination, clean stone garden statues using soft-bristled brushes and clean water, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or high-pressure washers.
