Fine Chinese Export porcelain coffee cup and saucer. Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period. 1736 - 1795.

Highly refined and exquisitely enameled matching famille rose porcelain cup and saucer. Masterfully painted in vibrant famille rose enamels. Exhibiting fine and superior-quality narrative painted scenes. Depicting family life, mandarin officials, scholars, harbour scenes, and cartouches with finely painted buildings and bridges. The attention to detail in the colourful clothing and formal costumes is superb. The visual storytelling portraying themes of education, wisdom, and hierarchy in Qing society, amidst virtues of every-day life.

The gilded rococo-style scrolling borders and diaper decoration framing the figural panels are finely executed with rich gold accents, adding a luxurious touch typical of imperial-quality famille rose porcelain.The superior quality of enameling, delicate brushwork, and gilded detailing suggests these saucers were possibly produced in the prestigious Jingdezhen kilns for high-ranking officials or the export market catering to European aristocrats. These examples demonstrate artistic refinement closer to Yongzheng-period famille rose pieces. Superb.
