Marion David Decorative Arts has dated this Noritake Gilded Porcelain Tea Set to the 1920s.
The addition of the word foreign means that it was custom stamped specifically for import into the u.k. As the trade laws at that time required goods to be marked foreign. The set consists of a teapot, 4 trios (cup, saucer, plate) a large cake plate, small jug and sugar bowl and a larger jug and sugar/slop bowl. This lovely set has a gilded lemon border around each piece with gilded edges, all in good order. The set is in good original condition, apart from the large bowl which has a small chip on the foot rim, see photo.
