An Important & Complete 19th Century Victorian Coalbrookdale Cast Iron Garden Suite – 'Medallion' Pattern (Circa 1860)

An exceptionally rare and highly important complete 5-piece Victorian garden patio suite by the world-renowned Coalbrookdale Foundry, dating to circa 1860. Unlike the "married" , mismatched or mid 20th century garden sets commonly assembled on the trade market, this is a true, textbook uniform suite that left the Shropshire foundry together, remaining intact for nearly a century and a half.

The suite comprises four matching "Spoon-Back Medallion" chairs and the highly coveted tri-form "Classical Maiden Mask" bistro table. The chairs feature an intricately pierced, oval spoon-back design centered with a classical medallion frame, gracefully bordered by swags, scrolls, and delicate botanical foliage. The matching table is a masterclass in Victorian industrial casting, featuring three elegant, scrolling cabriole legs topped with prominent, beautifully crisp classical female maiden masks.
