Antique Georgian Period Mahogany Side Table

Description

A wonderful antique Georgian period mahogany side table, made in England and dating from around the 1820-1830 period.

It is of superb quality, crafted from absolutely gorgeous mahogany. It is a useful size, it is quite rare to find an early model like this. The legs are beautifully turned and fluted, this has cross banding on the top edge, it is a strong and sturdy item. There is an unusual and useful single drawer that opens from the side of the top. The back of this is nicely finished, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with just some minor historical wear and small marks remaining here and there. This has a gorgeous colour tone and patina.
