Description:
This is a fine quality antique Victorian stand, of English origin, with a gothic design, constructed from solid pitch pine, ideal for use as a menu stand, book stand or lectern, circa 1860, in excellent original condition.
The sloped top is decorated with a triangular dental moulded frieze. The sloped top can accommodate large books or a display menu in a restaurant. The antique Victorian lectern is supported by a substantial ring-turned column pedestal, terminating on reeded splayed legs, with an open quatrefoil-pierced Gothic Revival tripod base. The antique book stand has been cleaned and wax polished to a professional standard in our workshop.

The Victorian reading stand exhibits a mellow pitch pine colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The antique display table would complement any home or restaurant, and would serve as a decorative display stand for menus or as a book stand.
The antique lectern would certainly grace any home or restaurant; it is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
