Chamberlains Worcester Porcelain Sucrier and Cover Circa 1810-15

Description

This fine early Chamberlain's Worcester sucrier and cover, dating from circa 1810–1815, is a remarkable example of the high Regency period and survives in excellent condition.

Its elegant London boat shaped form is both refined and highly decorative. The surface is richly embellished with intricate vermicelli gilding, complemented by finely executed boarders and a continuous gilt pattern, creating a striking visual effect. Twin scroll handles enhance its graceful silhouette, while the oval finial provides an elegant means of lifting the cover.

The underside of the cover bears the red Chamberlain's Worcester mark, confirming its manufacture.

A beautifully preserved and highly decorative piece of early English porcelain, presented in very good condition.

After forty years of shop keeping and maintaining beautiful showrooms, which have been regularly open six days a week, Robert and Wendy have now taken a slightly different approach to their business. Having sold their retail premises, the antique business is now fully online. The picture framing service has ceased to operate because of moving online.

All items will be personally hand packaged to a high standard. Small items are extensively wrapped using the best materials and are often double boxed. Items are then shipped with DHL or Royal Mail fully insured and often with next day delivery. Larger items would be personally delivered or sent with a specialist antique delivery firm, or for outside the U.K, a professional shipping company.
