This is a mid 19th century nest of tables with great charm dating from around 1880. The tables are in lacquered papier mache beautifully hand gilded and inlaid with mother of pearl. The largest table has a bold chess board design with fine mother of pearl detail and hand gilding in nice original condition, with only minor crazing. The other two graduating tables have a design matching the top one and are in lovely order for their age.
