Description

P0319 Simple, elegant and stylish Victorian solid oak peat or coal bucket, having copper bounds and copper handle, all showing original oak peg construction throughout. This antique bucket would make a good kindling or log bucket aswell as a planter. The timber is woodworm free, solid and sturdy, metal bounds and the handle have been sympathetically cleaned, polished. This antique bucket retains good colour, mellow patina and antique character, all in good home ready condition. c1880

This Victorian solid oak peat or coal bucket exemplifies English country house style with its tapered stave construction and rich warm brown timber tones.
