William Tonks & Sons Antique Heavy Brass Door Porter

A high quality and heavy English 19th century antique door stop by William Tonks and Sons, Birmingham, stamped with their initials and their rising sun emblem. A lovely design with a shaped ribbed base and with an aesthetic style band, a well shaped carry handle to the top and with a solid lead weight inside the back, so its stands very firmly. In superb condition, dates to around 1870.
