London City Antiques has dated this Ebonised Marquetry Pedestal Table to the 1860s.
The design is framed by an ornate marquetry border which enhances the richness and symmetry of the composition, creating a particularly eye-catching surface.

The table is supported by a graceful spiral turned column rising from a circular platform base. The lower tier is also decorated with a delicate marquetry garland echoing the decorative theme of the top and adding an extra level of refinement rarely seen on tables of this type. The outer edges of both the top and base are further enhanced with contrasting segmented banding which provides a subtle yet effective decorative finish.

Both elegant and practical, this table would work beautifully as a hall table, lamp table, plant stand or decorative occasional table, and is perfectly suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Condition Report:
The table is presented in very good antique condition with light age-related wear consistent with normal use. The marquetry remains crisp and well preserved, and the table is structurally solid and stable.
