Description

This is a beautiful pair of French enamelled porcelain plaques in gilt bronze ormolu frames dating from around 1860.

The convex form plaques are very prettily enamelled with floral scenes butterflies and insects and set within a deep blue and gilded border with raised detail.

These are in really lovely condition save for what appears as a very small crack to the dark blue border of one in the top right, (difficult to see without close scrutiny.)

These are ever so pretty and have delightful colours and fine detail.

Th plaques measure 27.5 cms by 9.5 cms overall.
