Description

Fine late 19th century Australian Aboriginal First Nation throwing club, c1890. Commonly referred to as a Waddy, Nulla-nulla or Boondi, these hardwood clubs or hunting sticks are used as a weapon in combat, for ceremonial purposes and more commonly as a throwing stick for hunting. This is a very genuine example, lovely primitive hand chip/incised carving of a Koala and foliage, heavy for its size at 0.4kg with great colour/patina. Overall condition is good with no obvious issues. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
