A fine Georgian drop-leaf occasional table constructed in richly coloured Cuban mahogany, the rectangular top fitted with hinged leaves and finished with a crisply carved moulded edge, centred by a repeating rosette motif.
The frieze is fitted with two opposing drawers, each retaining its original brass swan-neck handles and escutcheons. The table is raised on square chamfered legs, united by a shaped undertier stretcher, providing both strength and elegance. The feet retain their original brass caps and castors.
The mahogany displays excellent colour and grain throughout, with attractive surface patination consistent with 18th-century use. A versatile and well-proportioned piece, suitable for use as an occasional table, lamp table or small writing table.
