This unusual 1920s German Neoclassical Revival centre table is made from painted beech with gesso and gilding. The circular top carries an egg-and-dart moulding along the edge and wears a distressed slate blue painted finish with silver gilt decoration. Beneath, a heavily carved central pedestal displays elaborate acanthus leaf motifs, fluted turning, and scroll feet resting on a plinth base.
