Description

This antique polychrome head of Jesus Christ mounted in a wooden framed case most likely originates from Italy and dates from the 1800's.

This unusual religious antique piece which is made of papier mache is of the Veil of Veronica and has a glazed front.

A unique piece of folk art that has a wonderful decorative look and can be hung from a wall using the fitted rear hook.

Material: Papier mache.

Date: 1800's.

Dimensions: Width: 25 cm (9 3/4"). Height: 29 cm (11 1/2"). Depth: 7 cm (2 3/4").

Weight: 1198 g.

Condition: Good antique decorative condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some chips, flaking, staining, wear and the glass is slightly loose. Please see pictures.
