A decorative pair of early 19th-century Derby porcelain candlesticks in the light rococo manner of the 1820s. Each piece stands on a broad scroll-moulded base with warm original gilding and carries a shaped candle cup decorated with hand-painted floral cartouches. The small roses and soft blue touches follow Derby’s flower painting tradition linked to the Billingsley school. Comparable examples are illustrated in John Twitchett’s Derby Porcelain 1748–1848, confirming the date and type.
