This pair of Victorian Staffordshire decorative figurines originates from around 1860 in the English Country House style. Modelled in a seated spaniel form, the pieces are formed from white ceramic with a copper lustre glaze, featuring copper lustre patches and ears, painted facial features, and a moulded collar and locket. Each dog sits on a separate front leg with a glossy white finish, metallic copper markings on the body and tail, and dark painted eyes and snouts. They measure 15 cm high, 11 cm wide, and 7 cm deep. These ceramic animal ornaments suit placement on a mantelpiece in a living room, study, or hallway, adding traditional nineteenth-century character to interior schemes.
