Georgian games tables typically feature classical proportions, refined woodwork, and functional designs intended for card playing and social gatherings during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

These tables were constructed using dense hardwoods such as mahogany, often embellished with contrasting veneers like boxwood stringing, crossbanding, and hand-cut dovetail joints.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-carved details, period-appropriate joinery, natural timber ageing, and subtle tool marks consistent with eighteenth-century cabinet making techniques.

A demi-lune table functions effectively placed flat against a hallway wall or styled in a living room underneath a mirror or artwork to introduce warmth and historical contrast.

Maintain the wood by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and treat periodically with traditional beeswax to nourish the polished surface.
