This is one of a group of rare & original mid-19th Century 'wanted' posters collected by a local gentleman. During his lifetime he accumulated a vast collection of social history linked to Dorking - Surrey & Horsham - West Sussex.

Five Pounds Reward in 1845 is approximately £600 in today's £££

When considering the original function and age of the poster it is in remarkably good condition. We have had the poster professionally framed and mounted - an off-white mount with a solid light oak frame and backed with acid-free board. A wire for hanging this framed poster has been fixed to the reverse.
