A Fine 17th Century Credence Table.

£2,850    $3,808    €3,333
A fine Charles II period oak credence table, having excellent untouched original patina, with traces of original paintwork. The table consists of a semi circle top having thick cut boards and original hinges. The canted front with carving on three sides, and a plain heavy moulding below, in the centre is a drawer with later linings. The legs are of bobbin form and are joined by peripheral stretchers. The back of the table has a secondary leave with a gate leg , in which the table can be used as a centre table (or small dining table) , and when not in use, the leave can be dropped down and the table then becomes a side table or console table utilising space.

The are a few minor restorations, along with a few traces of old wood worm, overall the condition is excellent for a table of this period.
