Stunning Pair of Julius Dressler Majolica Ewers – Art Nouveau Design, 34cm High (c.1900)

A superb and highly decorative pair of Majolica ewers by the celebrated Austrian maker Julius Dressler, dating from around 1900. Standing an impressive 34 cm tall, these striking ewers capture the essence of Art Nouveau design, showcasing Dressler’s renowned craftsmanship and flair for elegant, sculptural form.

Each ewer features a beautifully modelled body with flowing organic lines, ornate loop handles, and a lustrous multicoloured glaze displaying rich tones of turquoise, ochre, and soft green. The surface shimmers with Dressler’s signature iridescent Majolica finish, giving each piece exceptional depth and vibrancy.

Founded in Biela, Bohemia (then part of Austria-Hungary), Julius Dressler was among Europe’s most distinguished ceramic manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
