Circa 1880. A late Victorian French kingwood and inlaid fold over card table, the shaped top in quarter matching kingwood with marquetry panels and various types of broad banding entwined with floral marquetry inlay, the fore-edge of the top and base with brass facings, the hinged top opens and swivels to reveal a felt lined interior with rosewood banding with gilded tooling on the felt and string inlay, the shaped frieze with marquetry on all sides, the table rests on four elegant cabriole legs with pierced brass mounts at the top and finishing with elegant cast sabots.
