A rare Wedgwood lustre “Antique Bowl” (pattern Z5068) designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones, c.1915. Exterior in Powder Blue lustre, with hand-painted multicolour butterflies in flight; interior in Mother-of-Pearl lustre with a single butterfly at centre. Makeig-Jones, famed for her Fairyland Lustre, introduced naturalistic subjects into lustreware, making each piece a miniature artwork. This bowl’s vibrant palette and fine gilding exemplify the quality of Wedgwood’s early 20th-century decorative production.
 
Size: Height 8 cm, diameter 12 cm
 
Condition: Excellent antique condition, with only pale staining visible inside.
