An Arts and Crafts Double Inkwell

1900 - 1920
Description

An Arts and Crafts double inkwell. Silver plate on Copper and hand hammered and decorated with rivets and a domed lid. The domed lid has a scroll handle which is also a pen holder. The clear glass inkwells are replacements. Made by Arthur John Seward of 169 Pershore Road Edgbaston Birmingham. He worked from 1890-1920. This piece dates from around 1902, Marked to the underside HS. In excellent original condition. Only light wear to the silver plate.
