Brief Description:

This is an exceptional quality, original early 19th-century German Biedermeier Birds Eye Maple Veneered cushion-moulded Picture frame.

Dating to circa 1820-1825, and of extraordinary good quality.

The large, heavy piece currently houses a wonderful needlepoint tapestry, but, in our humble opinion, the frame would be more suitable for a high-quality work of art.

The frame will house a painting in either the portrait or landscape position.

Further present is the original 1820s protective glass panel.
