The rectangular top with a central panel depicting a classical Roman charioteer scene, most likely depicting the celebrated Roman charioteer Gaius Appuleius Diocles (fl. post 146 AD), framed by scrolling foliate inlay and geometric borders above a well-turned knopped column similarly adorned with intricate banded inlay, raised on four scrolling legs, also embellished with decorative inlaid detailing.

77cm high x 90cm wide x 60cm deep
CONDITION
There are light water marks, knocks and scratches commensurate with age and use. There are some small veneer repairs. There is a small amount of historic woodworm to the central column and legs. Historically would have been tilt-top but now fixed. In attractive overall condition retaining good patina with minor wear consistent with age.
