A demi-lune console table is a semicircular side table designed to rest flush against a wall. Originating in 18th-century Europe, the term derives from the French phrase for half-moon, describing its curved front profile.

Traditional Swedish demi-lune tables were predominantly crafted from native softwoods such as pine or birch. They were typically finished with hand-mixed chalk or milk paint in pale shades of white, grey, or soft blue to reflect natural light.
