Three Antique Milliners Hat Blocks for Military Bearskin Cap

Extraordinary wooden blocks shaped to form the body of the iconic Foot Guards Bearskin Cap.

Each of them is made up of three-parts which can be dismantled inside the blocked crown (which is the top of the hat/cap) to allow to get the crown off the block with ease.

Showing a dark patina and signs of frequent use, typical of well used tools for essential pieces of military uniforms, they are extremely rare, therefore the signs of wear and of extensive use are the desirable evidence of their authenticity and historic value.

We date them late Victorian.
