This is a fine antique travel suitcase, an English gentleman’s leather case, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. A superb example with charming provenance and richly patinated character, and especially well suited to use as an accessory for period revival festival costumes.
 
Quality leather construction, with a wonderfully aged russet tan finish and supple feel throughout
 
Fascinating travel history, adorned with period label remnants from London, France, and the Hotel Cecil, Switzerland
 
Personalised with the name of M.A. Steward, of the 3rd Bedfordshire Regiment, British Army, adding historic depth
 
Richly toned leather throughout, highlighted by timeworn accents and brass fittings
