This eighteenth-century Georgian Rococo porcelain figure group depicts the classical deity Pluto standing beside the three-headed dog Cerberus. Modelled in porcelain with enamel colours and gold leaf accents, the piece shows Pluto wearing a crown and a spotted red-lined drapery patterned with floral motifs, resting on a moulded rococo scroll base highlighted in gilt. The polychrome palette includes orange-red, white, brown and gold tones across the figures and base. Measuring 23 cm high, 12 cm wide and 12 cm deep, the sculpture fits easily onto a mantelpiece or side table in a living room, study or hallway.
