Prometheus Antiques has dated this Bronzed Plaster Portrait Relief to the 1900s.
The relief retains the original label on the reverse giving the artist as Miss E.V.Black, sadly I can find no record of this artist, it may be she married and changed her name. The plaster relief is in good untouched condition and framed in the original oak frame which interestingly has also been given the bronzed effect. The whole is wonderful decorative and very mysterious. C.1900.
