An outstanding George II period mahogany extending dining table attributed to Gillows of Lancashire and London. In fine flame figured mahogany with three section drop leaf centre, two end sections and one extra leaf which attaches between one end section and the centre section.
Standing on typical crisply hand-carved reeded legs which taper from the top down to the original; brass cups and castors.
Superb quality craftsnmanship thropughout and in very good original condition.
This exceptional table will seat 14 -16 as it is, or another extra leaf could easily be added without compromising the originallity, enabling seting up to 18.
Fresh to the market directly from a beautiful old English country Rectory.
