The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The centre has an unusual and charming scene of a country girl stood in an arable landscape. She faces away with two woven carrying baskets of differing sizes hung over her elbows. All very well painted and edged with gilt and finished with a wide gilded rim. Unmarked, most probably Spode, c.1815-1820.
It measures 10.2cm (4") by 8.9cm (3 1/2") wide and 7cm (2 3/4") high.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and very minor handling wear.
